Galentine's Day is an unofficial holiday dedicated to celebrating your girls, but here in Baton Rouge, we never need an excuse to celebrate! Whether you're looking to stay in or go out, we’ve compiled a list to help you plan the ultimate Galentine’s Day celebration in Baton Rouge.

Brunch Bunch

Being that Galentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year (Fat Tuesday, at that), it just makes sense to celebrate the weekend before with brunch! We’ve rounded up some of the best spots for brunch in Baton Rouge – locally approved!

Girls Night Out

It doesn’t have to be Galentine’s Day to celebrate your besties, and no one knows that better than Soji: Modern Asian! Their weekly event, Ladies Night, is held on Thursdays and is the perfect place to get the party started. For just $20, you can get a small plate, sushi roll and a glass of champagne or a cocktail. Keep the party going throughout the weekend by heading to a vibey cocktail bar like The Main Lobby for drinks. Cheers!

Stay In

Who says you have to go out to have a good time? Nothing brings a group of girlfriends together better than a classic rom-com or a night binging reality television. Leave the refreshments to everyone else by ordering takeout from your favorite local restaurant, complete with a dessert board from BLDG 5. If you’re still shopping for libations, you’re in luck. Local grocers like Matherne’s and Calandro’s are known for their extensive wine selection, but for a more specialty store, Martin Wine Cellar has two locations, where you will certainly find what you’re looking for.

Relax & Renew

Galentine’s Day is a great excuse to get together with your closest friends and unwind. Head to Regal Nails Salon & Spa for a mani-pedi or Bumble Lane’s relaxing environment for a facial or massage. The Emporium also has a selection of massages with add-ons such as hot stones. If your idea of relaxation involves a little bit of movement, book a yoga class at Barre3 Baton Rouge, and stretch and meditate all your worries away.

Get Creative

We can’t think of anything better (or for some friend groups, funnier) than crafting with the girls in celebration of Galentine’s Day! Make some pieces to hang in your home at Painting and Pinot or Painting with a Twist or book a class with Mid City Artisans to create pottery, jewelry, macrame pieces and so much more! Another can’t-miss crafty event is The Bougie Bar’s candle-pouring class, where you can create your own candle while sipping a glass of wine!
