Galentine's Day is an unofficial holiday dedicated to celebrating your girls, but here in Baton Rouge, we never need an excuse to celebrate! Whether you're looking to stay in or go out, we’ve compiled a list to help you plan the ultimate Galentine’s Day celebration in Baton Rouge.

Brunch Bunch

Being that Galentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, there’s really no better way to celebrate your girls than with brunch! Luckily for you, we’ve rounded up some of the best spots for brunch in Baton Rouge, local-approved! For those who want to start the party early on Saturday, Eliza Restaurant is hosting a special Galentine’s lunch, complete with a pre-fixe menu of blue crab hushpuppies, chicken paillard with sweet potato brabants and goat cheese green salad and a sweet signature cocktail – “What She’s Having” – with sparkling rosé and cotton candy.

Girls Night Out

It doesn’t have to be Galentine’s Day to celebrate your besties, and no one knows that better than Soji: Modern Asian! Their weekly event, Ladies Night, is held on Thursdays and is the perfect place to get the party started. For just $20, you can get a small plate, sushi roll and a glass of champagne or a cocktail. Keep the party going throughout the weekend by heading to Third Street for a night of fun!

Stay In

Who says you have to go out to have a good time? Nothing brings a group of girlfriends together better than a classic rom-com or a night binging reality television. Leave the refreshments to everyone else by ordering a cheese board from BLDG 5 or pizza and apps from Rotolo's Craft & Crust. Looking for libations? Martin Wine & Spirits has recently reopened in their new location on Perkins Road, with a selection fit for a group of queens!

Relax & Renew

Galentine’s Day is a great excuse to get together with your closest friends and unwind. Head to Regal Nails Salon & Spa for a mani-pedi or Bumble Lane’s relaxing environment for a facial or massage. If your idea of relaxation involves a little bit of movement, book a yoga class at Barre3 Baton Rouge, and stretch and meditate all your worries away.

Get Creative

We can’t think of anything better (or for some friend groups, funnier) than crafting with the girls in celebration of Galentine’s Day! Make some pieces to hang in your home at Painting and Pinot or Painting with a Twist or book a class with Mid City Artisans to create pottery, jewelry, macrame pieces and so much more! Another can’t-miss crafty event is Heritage House Candle Co.’s candle pouring class, where you can create your own 6 oz. candle to keep your home smelling fresh!
