Louisiana Tax-Free Shopping

While Louisiana may be known as the Sportsman's Paradise, the Capital City prides itself on being a shopping paradise for international visitors by providing a sales tax refund for all international shoppers on purchases made at nearly 1,400 retail stores!

Many of the major shopping centers in the Red Stick – Perkins Rowe, Towne Center, and Mall of Louisiana – are tax-free zones. This sales tax refund is provided on tangible items purchased at various tax-free stores and permanently removed from the United States.

Please note, there is no refund for sales taxes paid for personal services, such as hotels, restaurants, entertainment and transportation.
