Visit Baton Rouge President and CEO receives tourism advocacy award
Jill Kidder elected to travel association board
BATON ROUGE, La. – President and CEO of Visit Baton Rouge Jill Kidder was named the recipient of the Marion “Butch” Fox Advocacy Award by the Louisiana Travel Association during its recent annual meeting in New Orleans, La.
This award recognizes a member of the Louisiana travel community who shows commitment to statewide causes, speaks up for the industry and advocates on all of our behalf for issues of importance to furthering the economic growth of travel in Louisiana.
Throughout her career, Kidder has used her voice to advocate for the tourism industry and the importance of travel. The contributions Kidder has made to the travel industry have been evident throughout her career, notably during the fifteen years that she spent with the Louisiana Travel Association as both co-executive director and president.
During LTA’s Annual Meeting, Kidder was also selected to serve on the executive committee of the association’s board. This board is a collaboration of travel and hospitality industry professionals from around the state.
“It’s an honor to be recognized with an award named after my dear friend, the late great Marion Fox,” said Kidder. “Her bold accomplishments as an advocate for our revenue-generating, job-creating industry have inspired me to raise my voice. It is an honor to a part of the class of leaders who have received this award in previous years.”
