Marie Stagg, Sydney Harris joins Visit Baton Rouge destination sales team
BATON ROUGE, La. – Visit Baton Rouge, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for East Baton Rouge Parish, has added two new members to its sales team. Marie Stagg, CTP, assumes the role of Leisure Sales Manager, while Sydney Harris serves as Destination Sales Manager.

Marie joined the Visit Baton Rouge sales team in late August of 2023. As the Leisure Sales Manager, she works with tour operators, wholesalers, online travel agencies and travel agents to expand the domestic and international tour/travel market.
Stagg joined with 11 years of tourism and hospitality experience, bringing a wealth of expertise to her new role. Having previously served as the Director of Sales at the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Stagg's responsibilities included overseeing domestic and sports markets, plus Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
She recently received her Certified Tourism Professional (CTP) credential from the National Tour Association, a globally recognized certification that’s considered the hallmark of professional competency and excellence in the travel industry.
“I’m excited that I get to represent my wonderful hometown of Baton Rouge to travelers around the globe,” said Stagg. “Joining this team just means that I get to talk about all that we have to offer and share the things that are happening every day in the city.”
Sydney Harris
Harris joined the sales team in late September 2023. She oversees the marketing and sales efforts targeting the educational and sorority/fraternity markets.
Harris held a supervisory position at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport’s American Airlines before joining Enterprise. At Enterprise, she consistently secured the top sales position, showcasing her proficiency in leading and collaborating with teams to deliver award-winning customer service.
