9th Annual Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival Announces Stage Lineup and Sponsors

Baton Rouge, LA (February 8, 2022)…The 9th Annual Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival is pleased to announce this years’ stage lineup and sponsors. The festival kicks-off with a

Pre-party on Thursday, February 24 from 7:00pm to midnight at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room. The main festival will be held on Saturday, February 26 from 10:00am to 7:00pm at North Boulevard Town Square.

The Pre-party is a sneak peek of some of the talent scheduled to play on the Town Stage and Special Guests. Admission is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. It includes a buffet and no-host bar. The venue is located at 2733 North Street in Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Performers expected to appear are Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, Larry Warren and Infiniti, the Listening Room All-Stars Kelton ‘Nspire Harper and the Inspiration Band, comedian Eddie “Cool” Deemer, Owen Scott, Larry “LZ” Dillon, Big Chief Roderick Sylvas, Big Queen Tonya Sylvas and the Wild Tchoupitoulas Indians, along with Anthony J. Peal and the PEW, gospel group.

The main event features continuous live music, a vendor’s village and food court. It’s family friendly and free to the public. Lawn seating, so bring your chairs. The venue is located at 200 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70801. This year’s festival lineup, on the Town Lawn Stage, features blues, soul, R&B, reggae, gospel,  jazz, pop/rock, spoken word and comedy. The show opens with co-hosts Whitney Vann and actress Michelle Torres. DJ is Teddy Johnson of Teddy’s Juke Joint. Performances from the Listening Room All-Stars are Larry “LZ” Dillon, Pastor Leon Hitchens, poet Sir AP, comedian Eddie “Cool” Deemer, Kelton ‘Nspire Harper and the Inspiration Band, Owen Scott and Xavie Shorts. Returning to the festivals are Robert “The Juice” Lenoir from Mississippi, Oski Foundation from Miami, SmokeHouse Porter and Miss Mamie with the Gutbucket Blues Band and Larry Warren’s jazz band Infiniti. New to festival this year is Soul Revival from the North Shore. Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor will be joined by the Wild Tchoupitoulas Indians featuring Big Chief Roderick Sylvas and Big Queen Tonya Sylvas.  (Lineup subject to change.
