3rd Annual Henry Turner, Jr. Day Music Festival Stage Lineup

Saturday, October 26 from Noon to 7:00pm at North Boulevard Town Square


Baton Rouge, LA…The 3rd Annual Henry Turner, Jr. Day Music Festival is pleased to announce the stage lineup for Saturday, October 26.  The event is being held from noon to 7:00pm at North Boulevard Town Square in Baton Rouge and honors entertainment writer, reporter and critic John Wirt. The free family friendly festivities include a jam-packed stage lineup, a vendor village and festival food favorites. Lawn seating, so bring your chairs. The show opens at noon with DJ Teddy “Lloyd” Johnson spinning some tunes.   The musical performances begin at 12:30pm featuring some of Henry Turner, Jr.’s Listening Room All-stars spoken word artist ‘Nspire, jazz/gospel singer Wyanda Paul and blues/rapper Lee Tyme. At 1:15 New Orleans Brazilian jazz guitarist, Geovane Santos takes the stage, followed by rocker Owen Scott. World music singer Proph3t, from Atlanta is on at 2:30 followed by more Listening Room All-Stars, comedian Eddie “Cool” Deemer and singer/songwriter Larry “LZ” Dillon. Yuan’s Dance Studio performs Chinese dances at 4:00pm, before and after goth/blues singer songwriter Alberta from Detroit. At 5:15pm bluesmen Doug Brousseau and the River City All-Stars have a set beginning followed by African Queen Z’s Dance Troupe. The day’s concert performances close with Henry Turner, Jr. & Flavor and special guest Orleans recording artist Carlo Ditta, along with R&B artist Xavie Shorts.
