Ice Skating on the River Returns to Baton Rouge This Holiday Season

Ice Skating on the River returns to the Raising Cane’s River Center from Thursday, December 11 through Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
The River Center will magically transform the arena into a winter wonderland once again just in time to create holiday memories and show off your skills. This annual family-friendly event is the perfect way to glide into the season and even practice a few leaps or two on the ice! Whether you’re a seasoned skater or stepping onto the ice for the first time, here’s everything you need to know before you go.
When and where does Ice Skating on the River take place?
Ice Skating on the River takes place December 11–30, 2025 inside the arena at the Raising Cane’s River Center, located at 275 South River Road in Downtown Baton Rouge.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $34 per person or $28.90 each for a group of four when purchased through Ticketmaster. Session ticket prices are $23.50 when purchased at the River Center box office.
What can visitors expect?
Each session lasts 75 minutes and begins at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. daily. You can find the full schedule on the River Center’s website. Skate rentals are included with your ticket, but you are more than welcome to bring your own skates! Please note that the Raising Cane’s River Center is a cashless venue and that all ticket counters, concession stands, and vendors accept card payments only.
What should I wear?
The rink temperature averages 40–60°F, so dress warmly and comfortably. Bring pants, gloves or mittens, and thick socks, and consider wearing layers you can remove if you start to warm up on the ice.
Is parking available?
Parking is available along River Road and in nearby garages on St. Louis Street. All parking facilities are cashless, so plan to pay with a credit or debit card.
