BR Brews: Breweries, Beer Gardens and Taprooms in Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge is for (beer) lovers! Beer-centric events like Brew at the Zoo and Cap City Beer Fest are quickly approaching, but those aren’t the only times you can enjoy an icy cold one here in Baton Rouge.
With six breweries in the region and many beer gardens and taprooms, every day is Oktoberfest right here in Baton Rouge!
Breweries
Cypress Coast Brewing Co.
After two years of fine-tuning their home brewing skills, Justin Meyers and Caleb Schlamp entered in local home beer competitions and won first place for most of their entries. This sparked the idea of opening their very own brewery, and Cypress Coast Brewing Co. came to fruition. Their passion for craft beer, their community and the local culture has contributed to the beers they brew and the space they have put together to share with everyone.
Rally Cap Brewing Co.
Rally Cap Brewing is a local Baton Rouge brewery, featuring 16 taps of house-made beer. They have a taproom that serves draft craft beer and packaged craft beer to go, as well as 10 widescreen TVs that make it the perfect game day hot spot.
Breweries Coming to the Baton Rouge Area
Istrouma Brewing Co. recently closed their St. Gabriel location and is moving to Baton Rouge this fall! Stay tuned for more details on the new brewery location coming soon.
