Louisiana Lights

Location: LSU Burden Museum & Gardens | 4560 Essen Lane
Louisiana Lights at the beautiful Burden Museum & Gardens is a dazzling light display set against lush greenery. Running through the end of the year, the event offers enchanting illuminated pathways and festive holiday scenes throughout the gardens. It provides a perfect opportunity for families to stroll and take photos.
Festival of Lights
Date: Saturday, December 5, 2026
Time: 12-7pm
Location: Downtown Baton Rouge
The beloved Festival of Lights Baton Rouge returns to kick off the holiday season. As Baton Rouge’s oldest holiday tradition, the festival lights up North Boulevard and Town Square with the best Christmas lights in Baton Rouge, culminating in the Baton Rouge Christmas tree lighting and a fireworks show over the Mississippi River.
Zoo Lights
Dates: November 27- December 30, 2026 (excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
Time: 5:30-8:00pm
Location: BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo | 3601 Thomas Road
The popular Zoo Lights, a favorite among kids, offers one of Baton Rouge's most magical drive-through Christmas light displays. See animals and lights winding through the zoo's beautiful grounds. The mile-long trail through the zoo features more than 50 illuminated animal display sculptures and traditional holiday displays.
U.S. Armed Forces Memorial Grove of Lights
Dates: Early December - early January (2026 dates TBD)
Location: Louisiana Veterans Memorial Park | 99 State Capitol Drive (on the side of the Louisiana Veterans Memorial Park facing the Governor’s Mansion)
The U.S. Armed Forces Memorial Grove of Lights features trees strung with white Christmas lights outlining the Louisiana State Capitol, which is also beautifully lit for the holiday season.
Baton Rouge General Lights
Dates: November 20 - December 31, 2026
Time: 5:30pm - 12am
Location: Baton Rouge General - Bluebonnet | 8585 Picardy Avenue
Baton Rouge General's Holiday Lights is a dazzling experience that transforms the hospital's greenspace into a festive display featuring synchronized lights, singing trees, giant lighted ornaments, and tunnels. Stroll through this enchanting holiday scene to soak in the seasonal cheer.
