The Red Stick Farmers Market, operated by BREADA (Big River Economic and Agricultural Development Alliance), is a producer only market with over 50 vendors that has been in operation for nearly ten years. Located on Fifth Street between Main and North Street Downtown Baton Rouge, vendors consist of Louisiana small family farmers and local artisans. Items available for purchase include: Fresh fruits and vegetables, Angus beef, poultry, farm fresh eggs, dairy products, fresh baked goods, fresh cut flowers, seasonal plants, native Louisiana wines, spices, sausage and cheese.

Red Stick Farmers is an open-air, producer-only market, which ensures that all produce sold at the market is grown locally by each farmer. During peak seasons, we operate up to 4 weekly locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market in different areas of the city. Red Sick Farmers Market has over 50 member farmers with a variety of locally grown products including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, seafood, artisan breads, homemade pies, honey, milk and cheese, native plants, herbs, and specialty food items. The Markets provide vital economic opportunities for local farmers, keeping our local food system healthy, strong and vibrant. Cash, credit, debit and Louisiana Purchase cards are accepted at all locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market. Red Stick Farmers Market has a no pet policy.

Tuesdays 8 a.m.-noon = EBRP Main Library 7711 Goodwood Blvd.

Thursdays 8 a.m.-noon =  Pennington Biomedical Research Center,  6400 Perkins Road Saturdays (closed July 4)

Saturdays 8 a.m.-noon  = Main Street Market at Fifth and Main streets Downtown, 501 Main Street
