Overview
Independence Park is a spacious 96-acre oasis, ideal for families, athletes, garden lovers, and community events. Operated by BREC, it boasts lighted multi-purpose ball fields, soccer fields, a top-tier tennis center with indoor and outdoor courts, and a pro shop.. The park’s heart is the award-winning botanical gardens featuring rose, sensory, crape myrtle, and children’s forest plantings—all open to the public during daylight hours. A newly installed inclusive “Play for All” playground and outdoor fitness stations welcome visitors of all abilities. A large pavilion, picnic areas, restrooms, Wi-Fi, and a recreation center support gatherings and everyday fun. The on-site Independence Park Theatre hosts performances and events year-round.
