Beer-centric events like Brew at the Zoo and Cap City Beer Fest are quickly approaching, but those aren’t the only times you can enjoy an icy cold one here in Baton Rouge. Agile Brewing

Agile Brewing is a microbrewery focused on satisfying the agile craft beer market. Agile Brewing’s recipes range from light and dark beers to sours and hoppies and are beers you won’t find anywhere else. Newly opened on Airline Highway, this brewery offers brewery bites from its bistro menu, as well as trivia nights, live music and game day specials.

 

Cypress Coast Brewing Co.

After two years of fine-tuning their home brewing skills, Justin Meyers and Caleb Schlamp entered in local home beer competitions and won first place for most of their entries. This sparked the idea of opening their very own brewery, and Cypress Coast Brewing Co. came to fruition. Their passion for craft beer, their community and the local culture has contributed to the beers they brew and the space they have put together to share with everyone.

 

Rally Cap Brewing Co.

Rally Cap Brewing is a local Baton Rouge brewery, featuring 16 taps of house-made beer. They have a taproom that serves draft craft beer and packaged craft beer to go, as well as 10 widescreen TVs that make it the perfect game day hot spot.

 

Tin Roof Brewing Co.

Whether you’re a beer connoisseur looking to add some notches to your belt, or someone who wants to try something fresh and local, Tin Roof has you covered! With events like Yoga on Tap on Wednesdays and Family Fridays held on the first Friday of the month, Tin Roof Brewing Co. has something for everyone.

The Bulldog Baton Rouge

Beer and dogs? Say no more. The Bulldog offers over 200 varieties of beer – 81 of which are on tap – and the best part is, you can bring your pup along for the fun. The bar bites are also served fresh, offering nachos, loaded fries, chicken tenders, and a variety of different types of burgers, among other items. The Bulldog also offers specials throughout the week, with Happy Hour Monday through Friday, Pint Night on Wednesdays, and $2 off local brews on Thursdays.

 

Bengal Tap Room

Located in downtown Baton Rouge, Bengal Tap Room is a one-stop shop for all your sports bar needs. The Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room – Highland

The Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room has been an LSU tradition for over 39 years. The Chimes has an upbeat and friendly environment with a menu offering gastropub favorites like po’boys and burgers, Cajun and Creole dishes and brunch options. Get an incredible view on the rooftop patio while sipping on libations – the full bar offers everything, with 240 different spirits, over 20 different wines and 80 beers on tap, as well as 136 on the bottle list.

 

The Chimes East

The Chimes East is the second Chimes location in Baton Rouge and has been serving up Louisiana comfort food and quality beer for years. Offering a tap list of over 75 and 87 bottled or canned options, The Chimes East is a beer-lovers haven.

 

Icehouse Tap Room

The name says it all – Icehouse Tap Room is the perfect spot for an icy cold one, with its patented refrigerated system keeping the brews at no less than 32 degrees! Icehouse also hosts a number of events throughout the week such as live music, karaoke and trivia, with a full food menu to boot.

 

The Smiling Dog

Louisiana culture meets England at The Smiling Dog, where you’ll find a varied selection of craft, local and imported beers, as well as pool tables, darts and plenty of TVs to take in soccer and football. With traditional pub grub, a large selection of beer and a full menu for you and your furry friend, your pup won’t be the only one smiling!

 

TAP 65

TAP 65 is the newest tap room on the scene and has certainly taken Baton Rouge by storm. The name says it all, as TAP 65 offers 65 rotating beers on tap, 65 different types of bourbon and 65 different types of wine, as well as craft cocktail and frozen drink options. TAP 65 also offers a delectable menu of Indian-inspired small plates and shareables, wings and brunch – complete with bottomless mimosas, of course!
