Private tour company to start offering guided tours at Port Hudson State Park
Blue, Gray & Bayous, established in 2014, is the only tour business in the state dedicated entirely to the subject of the American Civil War in Louisiana, and is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Louisiana State Parks to offer guided, for-hire tours within Port Hudson State Historic Site.
Operating as a vendor inside Port Hudson, Blue, Gray & Bayous will offer private purchased guided tours conducted by tour guides of Blue, Gray &Bayous.
“We are always looking at ways to enhance the guest experience at our state parks and historic sites. This partnership will provide yet another option to experience Port Hudson State Historic Site,” Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser said.
Guided battlefield tours through Blue, Gray & Bayous will begin on June 1, 2023.Blue, Gray & Bayous operates independently of Port Hudson. Any and all entrance fees to visit Port Hudson are still the responsibility of every guest.
