Hot Art, Cool Nights: Mid City Merchants Annual Spring Arts Festival
HOT ART, COOL NIGHTS is the Baton Rouge area’s largest Spring art festival and it’s returning for another year of enjoying the best that Mid-City and its merchants has to offer.

Baton Rouge, LA – Sponsored by Mid City Merchants, HOT ART, COOL NIGHTS, is free and open to the public bringing artists, makers and musicians to one location for the entire city and surrounding areas to enjoy.
HOT ART, COOL NIGHTS (HACN) will be held on Friday, May 10 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm this year. HACN happens annually and is always the Friday of Mother’s Day weekend. It starts at the intersection of Jefferson Hwy and Goodwood Blvd and continues down Government Street to the intersection of Government and 14th Streets. Enjoy fabulous art, live music, food vendors, and shopping, as well as meeting great local artists and unique local businesses.
Liz Walker, owner of Elizabethan Gallery, founder of HACN and has continued to be part of the event since its inception over two decades ago, had this to say about the event:
“I’ve been a part of HOT ART, COOL NIGHTS and Mid-City Merchants for decades. I’m so excited the festival is happening again this year, showcasing some of the best local talent, artisans, and business that Mid-City has to offer. Mid City Merchants is excited to connect with the community through HACN as we work toward our goal to keep the public familiar with Mid-City Merchants and its contributions to the midcity area, the Baton Rouge Metropolitan area and beyond.
Some of the businesses that will be participating in HACN are Elizabethan Gallery, Reginelli’s Pizzeria, Superior Bar & Grill, Spoke & Hub, Frameworks Gallery, Family and Youth Service Center, Rocca Pizzeria, DIY Disco, Pelican to Mars, Fleurty Girl, MJ’s Café, Red Stick Spice Company, Caked Up and a Local Pop-Up Market.
