Located in Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Culinary Institute (LCI) offers accredited associate degree programs in Hospitality and Culinary Management, Advanced Baking and Pastry, and Advanced Culinary Arts. Regarded as the culinary educational epicenter of Louisiana,
LCI operates out of a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, including 2 project kitchens, dining hall, 3 bakeshops, 3 demo labs, main kitchen, media center, amphitheater, herb garden, citrus grove, smoke house, and multiple educational class rooms. LCI boasts a high graduate job placement rate and a low student to teacher ratio. The intensive curriculum is developed for students to work while they attend classes, immediately applying the newly acquired knowledge towards their career. LCI has strong ties within the culinary and hospitality community, specifically working and partnering with non profits, charitable groups, and ProStart schools, as well as casinos, national television and productions companies, Fortune 500, farmers, restaurant groups, and more.
As a complement to its formal educational programs, LCI also serves as an official testing center for the American Culinary Federation and offers leisure classes, team building, and consulting services for culinary establishments, hospitals, corporations, businesses, restaurants, hotels, and bakeries.
