LSU Baseball vs. South Carolina
Overview
LSU baseball at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in Baton Rouge is more than just a game — it's a whole experience rooted in passion, tradition, and Tiger pride.
Known as one of the best college baseball atmospheres in the country, the stadium regularly packs out with over 10,000 loud and loyal fans decked out in purple and gold. The stadium is named after Alex Box, a former LSU baseball player and WWII hero, with the field honoring legendary coach Skip Bertman, who led the Tigers to five national championships. The crowd's energy is electric — whether it's cheering on a walk-off home run, chanting "L-S-U" between innings, or joining in on the famous "Rally Possum" lore.
LSU baseball is a dynasty with eight national championships (as of 2025), and the passion for the game runs deep in Baton Rouge. The fans, the atmosphere, and the winning tradition make a night at the Box something every baseball fan — or anyone who loves Baton Rouge — needs to experience at least once.
