Overview
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge is proud to present EYECON, a juried exhibition at the Shell Gallery that explores the people, moments, and cultural traditions that have shaped Louisiana’s LGBTQ+ community.
On view June 7 through July 3, 2026, EYECON brings together a diverse group of Louisiana artists whose work reflects stories of resilience, activism, identity, joy, and cultural impact. Through a variety of visual mediums, the exhibition honors both well-known and often-overlooked figures, movements, and milestones that have contributed to the rich history of LGBTQ+ life across the state.
