The South Branch Library is the newest addition to the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system. Opened in March 2025, this 18,800-square-foot facility offers a modern and welcoming environment for patrons of all ages. The library houses a collection of over 65,000 items, including books, magazines, DVDs, and audiobooks. A standout feature is the central courtyard, built around a preserved heritage live oak tree, providing a serene outdoor space for reading and events. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, laptop bars, public computers, and gallery spaces showcasing local artwork. The South Branch Library serves as a vibrant hub for learning, creativity, and community engagement in southern Baton Rouge.
