Overview
The John M. Parker Agricultural Coliseum, commonly known as the Parker Coliseum, is a historic multi-purpose arena on Louisiana State University’s campus. Built in 1937 and named after former Louisiana Governor John M. Parker, it originally hosted livestock shows, rodeos, and agricultural events. Over the years, it has also served as a venue for LSU basketball games, concerts, and community gatherings. With a seating capacity of around 6,500, the coliseum remains an important part of LSU’s agricultural heritage. Today, it continues to host livestock exhibitions, trade shows, and student events, maintaining its legacy as a key facility for Louisiana’s agricultural community.
