DEARMAN’S DINER & SODA SHOP

FROSTOP

You can’t really beat a frothy root beer float, except when it’s made from homemade root beer! Frostop is yet another Baton Rouge classic, and their floats are legendary. If floats aren’t your thing, you can also opt for a sundae, shake or classic scoop in a cup or cone.

GAIL’S FINE ICE CREAM

Made from quality ingredients, Gail’s Fine Ice Cream is heaven on earth for dessert lovers. This small-batch ice cream shop serves 16 flavors of creamy goodness – six flavors available year-round, with the other 10 rotating seasonally – and believe us, it’s not complete without a house-made waffle cone!

LA DIVINA ITALIAN CAFÉ

If you can’t get on a flight to Italy, La Divina Italian Café can bring Italy to you in the form of their gelato! Offering 24 flavors of gelato and sorbet, La Divina’s sweet treats come in a range of sizes, or you can get it scooped into a cup of espresso for an affogato. Bringing the pup along? Ask about their dog gelato!

LSU AGCENTER DAIRY STORE

Located in the heart of LSU’s campus, the LSU AgCenter Dairy Store makes their ice cream from milk from cows that live less than two hours away at the AgCenter’s Southeast Research Station in Franklinton, Louisiana. SWEET SOCIETY

Sweet Society is serving ice cream you quite literally can’t find anywhere else in the city, and maybe even the state! The Dole whip taiyaki is just as delicious and comes in flavors such as watermelon, strawberry and pineapple.

THE YARD MILKSHAKE BAR

The Yard Milkshake Bar is known for their over-the-top shakes, shake bowls and floats, made from high quality ice cream and edible cookie dough, before being topped to the heavens with candy, cookies, whipped cream and other sweet treats.
