The Quatrefoil: Baton Rouge's Hidden Signature
A quatrefoil is a four-leaf clover-like shape with deep roots in Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Once you know it, you'll start spotting it everywhere in Baton Rouge.
It's woven into the ironwork at the Old State Capitol building. It shows up in doorways, windows, and details across the city that most people walk right past. It's been here all along.
That's exactly why it felt right as the symbol for Visit Baton Rouge. Like the city itself, the quatrefoil doesn't fit neatly into one category. It's historic and modern. Ornate and everyday. A shape that belongs to everyone, locals who grew up with it and visitors discovering it for the first time.
Look for it. You'll be surprised where it turns up.
