The only thing better than beer and dogs is when the kitchen is open late for bar bites. The Bulldog Baton Rouge offers over 200 beers, 81 of which are available on tap, and bites from their menu as late as 12:00 a.m. Wednesday through Thursday. Take your pick from a selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and a variety of apps, such as onion rings, quesadillas and cheesy fries covered with bacon.

If you’re looking for the best beignets in the country, then look no further! Coffee Call is a Baton Rouge institution for over 30 years, offering fluffy beignets or beignet fingers and fresh café au lait! If you’re looking for an evening pick-me-up or just having a late-night craving, they’re churning out these delicious treats until 12 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room has been an LSU tradition for over 39 years, and while the full bar offers everything you can think of, the food menu is one you don’t want to miss. On Fridays and Saturdays, The Chimes’ gastropub favorites, such as po’boys and burgers, as well as a variety of Cajun and Creole dishes, are available to order at the restaurant until 12 a.m., with takeout available until 11:30 p.m.

Overlooking bustling Government Street, Mid City Beer Garden’s bar bites are anything but ordinary. Indulge in the classics, such as cheese fries or a burger or put a spin on your late-night meal with their infamous grilled cheese and tomato soup. Another great bet would be the soft pretzel served with grainy mustard and beer cheese!

The Original Raising Cane’s, located on Highland Road, is frying up the freshly cooked chicken fingers and fries we all know and love until 2 a.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and until 3:30 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays – satisfying those late-night cravings!

The wings are Pluckers Wing Bar are certainly a good go-to, but their menu is filled with all sorts of bar bite favorites! Offering apps like fried mac and cheese, their famous wings, burgers and hot dogs, every craving is sure to be satisfied!

At the end of the day, there’s no better choice for late-night food than pizza. If you’re looking for authentic, New York-style, thin-crust pizza, then Schlittz and Giggles is certainly the place! While the Perkins location is open until 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, the downtown location, conveniently on Third St., is open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays – making it the perfect option for a post-night-out meal!

Smalls Sliders' mission is simple in creating the ideal food experience – simple, fun and delicious. The Nicholson location is conveniently located close to LSU and is open until 12 a.m., and with its simplistic menu (four combo options in various sizes, as well as four side options and a selection of shakes and soft drinks), Smalls Sliders is a great go-to for those late-night bites.



Late-night menu available 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. – Friday & Saturday

Soulshine Kitchen & Bar has a menu available specifically for the night owls! Available from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., you will find a selection of menu items ranging from apps like cheese fries and nachos to savory and sweet brunch options. Another favorite is their Slamburger – a smashed beef burger with all the toppings!

Yet another Baton Rouge staple, Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar, located at Burbank Drive, is open until 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for all your late-night needs. With an extensive beer list and carefully crafted cocktails, you can also find a large selection of sports bar favorites and Louisiana-inspired cuisine, all made fresh and from scratch.
