FESTIVAL SEASON IN BATON ROUGE

Springtime and festival season is synonymous here in Baton Rouge, and the beautiful weather creates the perfect setting for an outdoor celebration. Celebrate the region’s cultural, economic and ecological connection to the Mississippi River at Ebb & Flow, complete with live music, visual arts, culinary offerings, artist demonstrations, performance and interactive art and cultural experiences for all ages. Dance to the swamp blues at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival, where you’ll hear music from some of the greats for free. In May, bring an empty belly for the Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival, complete with tastings and a culinary contest.

 

CRAWFISH SEASON

Peak crawfish season in Baton Rouge is from March to May, and we invite you to boogie on down to pinch and peel some for yourself! Whether you prefer them boiled or fried, this Baton Rouge culinary staple won’t disappoint, and if you’re looking for the best, we’ve done all the work for you. Come enjoy a pound or two (or five!) of boiled crawfish or head over to one of our seafood restaurants for other delicacies, such as etouffee or crawfish bread.
