Our overall experience in Baton Rouge was great! The professionalism of all the folks involved from Visit Baton Rouge helped so much in contributing to the overall success of our event. The particular expertise by the VBR staff for our banquet were especially appreciated and spot on! We enjoyed hosting our event in Baton Rouge and would strongly consider returning in the future.

There were 696 attendees and 810 registrants, 2nd largest Fall Regional Conference in Region V with number one being in New Orleans in 2007. Visit Baton Rouge was an outstanding partner in helping to plan and execute our successful 51st LABash Conference. From helping us secure a beautiful hotel/venue on the Mississippi River to providing valuable visitor assistance and welcoming the hundreds of people that attended, they were a tremendous help. We would especially like to thank Michael Aguirre and Anna Gasperecz for their constant professionalism and consistent attention to detail.
Reflecting on the visit to Baton Rouge, I can’t decide what I enjoyed the most; the warm, friendly people, the slow rolling fog on the Mississippi, the music, or the mouthwatering cuisine. Holding SACRAO’s 72nd Annual Meeting in the Red Stick didn’t feel like we were visitors, but rather like we were among old friends. From the hotels, to the Raising Cane’s River Center, to the museums and historic sites, Baton Rouge opened her arms and made us feel right at home. Thank you for a most enjoyable experience!
We bring competitors into Baton Rouge from all over the US and Canada. They are always impressed by the hospitality of the Baton Rouge area people and they enjoy the many outstanding restaurants the city has to offer.
