With nearly 5,000 square feet jam packed of fine antiques, vintage treasures, and other decor, Circa 1857 is a funky jewel in Mid City Baton Rouge. Owned by Garrett Kemp, who purchased the existing business in 2016 when he was 21 years old, the store features a maze-like layout with booths and stalls that houses over 30 dealers and artists.
Originally, the building, which is on the corner of 19th St. and Government St., was a pharmacy built in 1920. The building was purchased and renovated in the early 2000s, and has been home to Circa 1857 since.
