Sherry T. Broussard is an author and storyteller and is passionate about Black history. She is active on several local boards and served as the state liaison representing Louisiana for the National Storytelling Network.

Sherry T. Broussard is an educator, former academic librarian, storyteller, and community activist who has an avid interest in black history and culture. Broussard has produced black history and cultural programs for over 30 years in schools, churches, public libraries, academic libraries, and museums in Lafayette and Southwest Louisiana. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently known as UL-Lafayette), Southern University, Louisiana State University, and East Tennessee State University. Broussard is the founder and president of Bayouland Storytellers Guild of Southwest Louisiana and the Just Write Cultural Arts Group and cofounder of Malunda African-American Book Club.

Sherry T. Broussard is a storyteller and author who brought the first Storytelling Festival: Stories on the Bayou, to Lafayette, Louisian. The storytelling festival featured a plethora of multicultural stories told by storytellers from across Louisiana that enriched and entertained children and adults. Broussard is the Louisiana State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network.
