The Crown Jewel of Louisiana's River Road. Mansion construction was completed in 1828. The mansion has a heroically-columned Greek Revival exterior topped by a belvedere that surveyed the alley of oaks leading south to the sweeping bend in the Mississippi and the miles and miles of cane fields to the north and east. Plantation grounds include a gift shop, café, elegant fine dining restaurant, meeting rooms and gardens. The 38-acres of formal gardens surround the Mansion and are self-guided to enjoy at your own pace. Mansion tours available everyday 9am-7pm. Closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. Handicap accessible and pet friendly.
