Live singer performing during Red Stick Revelry celebration

Red Stick Revelry

Red Stick Revelry is going virtual in 2020!  Instead of gathering in town square for Baton Rouge's annual New Year's Eve event, safely watch from home as we live stream the red stick drop! Don't forget to save the date for next year's event when we can all be together again and register to win a free night hotel stay in Baton Rouge for New Years 2021!

Starting at 11:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, a livestream program featuring Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, Visit Baton Rouge President and CEO Paul Arrigo and other special guests will kick off the countdown to 2021.

Baton Rouge’s Official New Year’s Eve celebration will be livestreamed on Facebook @VisitBatonRouge, on the WAFB APP and WAFB Plus (Smart TV APP). Viewers are invited to post a photo of how they are ringing in the New Year using the hashtag #ExploreBatonRouge or mention @VisitBatonRouge, to have their photo posted on the Visit Baton Rouge website and the beacon in Town Square.

Vin a VIP Package to NYE 2021

Viewers who like, comment, or share the Red Stick drop livestream will be automatically entered in a contest to win a VIP Package to Red Stick Revelry 2021 that will include a downtown dinner for two, hotel stay and other amenities. The winner will be announced by Mayor Broome immediately following the Red Stick drop on the livestream.

There will be no fireworks, laser light show or live concert this year, but everyone is encouraged to share the Red Stick drop and their photos to send the message that Baton Rouge is celebrating safely and looks forward to welcoming visitors back in 2021.

Updates about the event will be posted at www.redstickrevelry.com or on Facebook @RedStickRevelry and @VisitBatonRouge.
