America officially joined the fight 100 years ago in April. WWI saw the creation of many new technologies for both warfare and healing. This exhibit will honor the Louisianians who bravely fought in The Great War. Our exhibit will showcase weapons and equipment from some of the major powers of World War I, as well focus on the technological advances of the time.  The exhibit will also feature displays of famous Louisiana veterans from the war, famous WWII generals who started in WWI, and the evolution of naval power and ships.  Notable Louisiana training post and shipyards will also be mentioned along with Louisiana’s WWI memorials.

There will also be a life size reproduction of a trench on the front lines. You will be able to look out onto 'No Man's Land,' hear the sounds of war, and experience the cramped quarters of the average soldier. Among the exhibit will be personal items of these brave men and women- members of the "Lost Generation"
