Come enjoy making sushi for yourself! We will learn about the origins of sushi, cooking rice, and rolling our own sushi. We will explore the basic variations of sushi like the California Roll, Crunchy Roll, Philadelphia Roll, and Spicy Tuna Roll. You may not be a sushi chef, but you can enjoy this ancient Japanese dining experience. Come join us in preparing, sampling, presenting, and eating sushi for your personal dining pleasure. Take home your creations!

- Sushi Rice
- California Roll - Rice, Crab Stick, Avocado, Cucumber
- Crunchy Salmon Roll - Rice, Salmon, Avocado, Cream Cheese, Panko, Sesame Ginger Sauce
- Philadelphia Roll - Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Cucumber, Avocado
- Spicy Tuna Roll - Rice, Tuna, Sesame Seeds, Sriracha Sauce, topped with Spicy Mayo
All leisure classes include hands-on instruction from our ACF Certified Chef Instructors, food materials, apron, and recipe booklet.

Tickets are required to attend this event. Tickets must be purchased at https://www.lci.edu/store/Sushi-101-p464445001 to attend. Due to the nature of our leisure classes, walk-ins are not accepted. If redeeming a gift certificate, please call LCI at 225-769-8820.
Cancellations - Due to planning and staffing in advance of each class, special ordered product, and perishable items, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued for cancellations within 72 hours of the class and/or no-shows the day of the class. Gift certificates are considered redeemed for cancellations within 72 hours of the class and/or no-shows the day of the class.
If there is an unexpected cancellation for a leisure class from LCI, you will be contacted at the phone number and email provided during sign up. A refund in the form of a check or credit to another currently open leisure class will be available.
