Sunday in the Park presents Dysfunctional Bone
In August 2012, a new sound emerged from New Orleans, La, known as Dysfunktional Bone. Since then, Dysfunktional Bone has been playing frequently on Frenchmen St. and across southern Louisiana, wowing audiences with their high energy set. Blending a powerful horn-heavy frontline with a rocking rhythm section, Dysfunktional Bone combines Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, the J.B. Horns, original Nola funk, and much more into one action packed set.
Sunday in the Park is a series of free outdoor concerts held each Fall and Spring in Downtown Baton Rouge at the Shaw Center for the Arts Plaza. This series provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate community and enjoy music from across Louisiana in a fun, family-friendly environment. In addition to featured talent from local musicians, family-friendly activities will include face painting, balloon art, and more. Bring your dancing shoes and your favorite lawn chair when you join in the fun!
Support for the Sunday in the Park Free Concert Series comes from the Office of the Mayor-President, the Baton Rouge Metro Council, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, Cox Communications, 225 Magazine, and WRKF 89.3.
