Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin, Friends of the Old State Capitol & The Old State Capitol Foundation cordially invite you to 2018 Spirits of Louisiana, an evening of history, mystery and libations. Enjoy tastings from Louisiana distilleries with catering provided by Heirloom Cuisine.
We are so excited to be hosting our “Spirits of Louisiana” fundraiser event for the third year in a row at Louisiana's Old State Capitol. This event will take place Thursday, October 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This event features the “spirit” of our colorful history and spirits crafted by Louisiana distilleries.
This Halloween inspired cocktail event will include tastings of Louisiana-made rum, bourbon, vodka, and gin by all participating Louisiana distilleries. Guests can also try the Louisiana-made libations at the open bar! Guests will enjoy delicious cuisine by the very popular Heirloom Cuisine in the one-of-a-kind setting of the Old State Capitol - Louisiana's own Castle on the Hill.
While cocktail type spirits will be flowing mainly on the second floor, guests will also be able to view all exhibits on the first floor of the Old State Capitol. The option to view “The Ghost of the Castle,” the Old State Capitol’s award-winning, 3D movie about the life and afterlife of Sarah Morgan, will also be available to guests throughout the night.
If you are not able to attend the event, donations are available and would be immensely appreciated!
All fundraising from this event will go toward the preservation and program development of Louisiana's Old State Capitol. Proceeds will benefit the Old State Capitol Foundation, which provides funds for exhibit technology and other enhancements. This event is being sponsored by Entergy.
Last year was such a success and a tremendous amount of fun! The uniquely spooky but elegant atmosphere makes for an event that you will not experience anywhere else. It will truly be an evening of history and mystery - featuring spirits of the supernatural and the distilled kind!
All guests must be 21 or older.
