Director Dr. Macy Jones approaches Love, Loss, and What I Wore with an eye toward how memories are worn as much as recalled.
“We wear our memories. The coat you wore the first time you saw snow, your wedding dress, the interview outfit you agonized over for your dream job—these garments have memories woven in the seams. This play, which is a series of monologues of women talking about their clothes, is about how memories are worn and our desire to put them on again.”
Red Magnolia Theatre Company’s mission to create opportunities for women in all aspects of theatre production is reflected in this show. In addition to the all-women cast, all the production and design position are filled by local woman artists.
Performance dates are October 12, 13, and 14 at 7pm and October 14 at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased for $25 online at www.redmagnoliatc.org. Performances are at Mid City Ballroom, 136 S. Acadian Thruway.
