High School Culinary Skills Development - Summer Class

In this one day boot camp, you and other high school students will learn the basics of cooking with the help of our chef instructors. You'll start by learning how to handle a knife and make knife cuts. Then, we'll dive right into cooking methods like roasting, sautéing and more. By the end of the day, you will have prepared a full menu of awesome dishes to enjoy! Get excited for a fun filled day of cooking and experience a day in the life of a Louisiana Culinary Institute student.

- Open to high school students entering their Junior and Senior years along with recent high school graduates.
- The total cost for the course is $200 per participant which includes lunch and a LCI logo apron.
- Any student who completes the camp will receive a certificate that can be used as a $500 credit to be applied toward tuition upon enrollment.

A temperature check and mask will be required to enter the building. Anyone registering 100.4 degrees and above will not be admitted into the building. The mask must be worn during the entire time in the building.
