Living history demonstrations will interpret activities that took place on Louisiana farms and plantations during harvest time in the 1800's. Louisiana artisans will focus on many types of agricultural and household activities. Demonstrations will include blacksmithing, soap making, basket weaving, wood working and open hearth cooking.
Pre-registration is not required. Check-in will be at the front desk/gift shop area of the Rural Life Museum on the event date.
Please see our Harvest Days page for a complete list of activities.
