What is Uncorked?
Combine your love for food and wine and your passion for a good cause at Forum 35’s Uncorked!
Forum 35 is a community organization of engaged young men and women dedicated to improving and shaping Baton Rouge. Through our initiatives of Leadership, Service, Diversity, and Arts and Culture, Forum 35 works to empower young professionals to serve and improve the Baton Rouge community. The funds raised through this event will be used to support Forum 35's efforts in leadership development and service through programs such as Barton Leadership Development and the Public Education Project.
How does it work?
At each event, a different wine varietal is highlighted. Invitees are encouraged to form teams of up to 3 members and participate in the competition or attendees can simply come and enjoy the wine and atmosphere. Each team selects and purchases three identical bottles of a favorite wine within the featured varietal to present at the event. Two bottles are bagged, tagged, and offered for blind tasting and scoring. The third bottle goes into the winner's pot. At the conclusion of the festivities, the scores are tallied, the winners are recognized and awarded the pot to remaining bottles, and the bottle that received the lowest score is returned to its rightful owner to take home.
Because wine tasting with Forum 35 is such a great time! But more importantly, your participation makes an impact. All proceeds from Uncorked events benefit Forum 35's leadership and service initiatives within the community.
