Ron English, juror for Baton Rouge Gallery’s Surreal Salon 10 and LSU School of Art visiting lecturer, will visit LSU MOA to discuss a banner designed for the museum related to his "Delusionville" project. The work will be on display through March 2018. One of the most prolific and recognizable artists alive today, New York-based English is a painter, designer and street artist creating unforgettable images on the street, in museums, in movies, books, television, and music. He coined the term "Popaganda" to describe his mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history, creating images that turn advertising into “subvertizing” and parody into illumination.
