What is art made of? Journey through the science of art beginning with an informal tour of Polymers in Art through the Centuries with LSU professor of chemistry John Pojman. Then go behind the scenes with New Orleans artist Monica Zerinque for a look at Absence & Presence: The Moons of Monica Zerinque. Along the way, preview an excerpt from local dance company Of Moving Colors's adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, featuring live music by violist and composer Christian Frederickson. Also open for viewing will be A Work in Process: Paintings by Gustave Blache III and It's Academic: A Hands-On Art Experience. Complimentary wine and appetizers included with admission.
