With Valentine’s Day (or Singles Awareness Day, as some like to call it) right around the corner, what are your plans? Whether you plan on a romantic evening with that special someone, or a night on the town with your friends, here are three ways to make your February 14th extra special:

Not all who celebrate Valentine’s Day have to be in love! If you’re looking for a night out with your best pals, check out the nightlife on the historic Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge. Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year, so make a night of it by visiting some of the many music venues, bars and restaurants that Third Street has to offer.

2. If you’re going on a casual date…

Have a Valentine, but don’t want to get too, too fancy? Perkins Rowe is the perfect spot for a casual date night. Stop by the Cinemark Perkins Rowe Theatre for a movie, and grab dinner at one of the many restaurants, such as Bin 77, Lava Cantina, Kona Grill and more!

Love is in the air!
