Fireworks are lighting up the Baton Rouge sky this year, and you don’t want to miss it! Find a prime viewing spot along the river as the Capital City celebrates America’s freedom with the annual WBRZ's Fireworks on the Mississippi. Enjoy a long holiday weekend with these events happening all around town.

Live Music Weekend at the Crowne Plaza

6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Get out and listen to live music all weekend long at the Crowne Plaza! Admission is $10, and there will be food and drink specials on Friday and Saturday night.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 1

Red, White & Waddle
Barn Hill Preserve
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Barn Hill Preserve will be hosting its first-ever Red, White, and Waddle! This event is extra special because it stars two African Penguins ChickChick and Ruby! Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 2 and older and includes penguin encounters, inflatables, tractor rides and much more. 

 

Levitt AMP Music Series - Tall Tall Trees
Scotlandville Plaza
5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The 10-week Levitt AMP Music Series will be back for Week 8 on Saturday, July 1, at Scotlandville Plaza! The main musical entertainment will be Tall Tall Trees, with other live performers, as well as a vendor market.

Kenilworth Neighborhood is celebrating our nation’s birthday with its annual Independence Day Parade! This event is sure to be a good time for the entire family, as you catch beads and throws from passing floats.

 

TUESDAY, JULY 4

Baton Rouge Concert Band Fourth of July Concert
The Main Library at Goodwood

Join the East Baton Rouge Parish Library and the Baton Rouge Concert Band for a FREE 4th of July concert in the Plaza! Bring the whole family to the Main Library at Goodwood on Tuesday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m. to hear patriot tunes, marches, and Americana as we celebrate the founding of our great nation!

 

Fourth of July Celebration at LSU Museum of Art
Shaw Center for the Arts
7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Watch fireworks and support art! View WBRZ's annual Fireworks on the Mississippi from atop the Shaw Center for the Arts' sixth floor. Enjoy food by Tsunami Sushi, live music and access to the outside bar.

 

L'Auberge Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza

The Lawn Viewing Party

Family-friendly viewing of the L’Auberge Baton Rouge Fourth of July fireworks show will occur on The Lawn adjacent to the Mississippi River levee. This viewing area is free to the public and all ages are welcome. There will be food trucks and refreshments available for purchase. The fireworks show will start at 9 p.m.

The Rooftop Pool Viewing Party

Enjoy a view of the fireworks show from the top of the 12th floor at The Rooftop Pool at L’Auberge. Guests can purchase access to the rooftop pool for $20 at the door. GEAUX DJ will be performing from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The fireworks show starts at 9 p.m. Access to the Rooftop Pool is based on availability. Please note that attendees must be 21 years or older with a valid ID.

Edge Party

Join the party at the brand-new Edge Lounge from 8 p.m. to Midnight with live music from Capital City Soul. This event is free to the public for ages 21+.
