SKATING ON THE RIVER


'Tis the Season! The Baton Rouge River Center is pleased to announce that it is time, once again, for Holiday Ice Skating! This year's Skating on the River will be held Friday, December 20 through Sunday, January 5. Grab the family and try out an activity we can only do once a year here in Louisiana!



THE NUTCRACKER...LOUISIANA STYLE

 

The Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre presents their own Cajun twist on a classic Christmas tale in The Nutcracker, A Tale From the Bayou. There are four opportunities to see this beloved Baton Rouge Christmas tradition, December 21 & 22 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center.



A WARM FUZZY FEELING

Go wild and enjoy one of Baton Rouge's newer holiday traditions, ZooLights, at BREC's Zoo! From November 29 - December 30, head out to the Baton Rouge Zoo to enjoy lights, larger-than-life displays, your favorite zoo animals and holiday traditions. So, grab the family and friends and get in the holiday spirit of the season.



REJOICE WITH THE BR SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Feel the joy of the season with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra at one of their holiday shows. Home for the Holidays showing December 5 and December 8 at various locations will include full orchestra renditions of classics and light-hearted favorites. The Chamber Series December 6, 13 and 15
at various locations provides lively, yet peaceful varied arrangements and lush acoustics.


PARADING AROUND

The 63rd Annual Kiwanis Downtown Christmas Parade will roll on Saturday, December 14 at 5:30 p.m. The parade is open to all and is a community celebration. Get ready to see floats, bands, dance troupes and more as you feel the holiday spirit through the streets of Downtown Baton Rouge!
