Laura Cating to serve as Visit Baton Rouge’s
Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Cating brings extensive knowledge of the travel industry from the Louisiana Travel Association
BATON ROUGE, La. – Visit Baton Rouge has welcomed Laura Cating to the team as the new Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Cating will oversee the strategy of all marketing and communication efforts for Visit Baton Rouge. She brings a wealth of knowledge of communications, marketing, event planning, advertising, and media relations in the tourism industry.
Cating previously worked at the Louisiana Travel Association for almost 10 years as the organization’s Communications Director, Vice President and then Executive Vice President. At LTA, she worked alongside members from around the state to strengthen the tourism industry in Louisiana as well as enhance the state's image as a travel destination. Her past experience includes working in Corporate Communications for CenterPoint Energy and a previous stint at Visit Baton Rouge almost 20 years ago.
Cating received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University. She’s currently involved in several organizations throughout the community, including the Public Relations Society of America and Istrouma Baptist Church.
