The Elizabethan Gallery, located in the Mid City Arts and Design Cultural District of Baton Rouge, opened its Spring show on Friday, May 10th.  Due to the "threat" of bad weather and number of people that did not get to come out to see the new works because of the bad weather news, the Gallery will be holding a second opening to allow the public to see the latest exciting pieces the gallery artists produced.

This event, another opportunity to meet the creative people that make up the artists team at the Gallery, will take place on Thursday, June 13th, from 5-8 p.m.  The event will be a chance to honor and treat the Dads and men in your life as it is just days before Father's Day.

Artists participating in the spring show are Mickey Asche, Carol Hallock, Betty Efferson, Nancy Smitherman, Heather Ricard, Keith Douglas, Cathy Smart, Andrea Phillips, Kay Lusk, Barbara Fornias, Krista Roche, Jovann Armstrong, Justin Patin, Sharon Richard, Katie McGarry, Vera Judycki, Joy McDonald and Claire Pasqua.  Mediums include oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media and sculpture on canvas.

The Elizabethan Gallery is located at 680 Jefferson Highway and can be reached at 225-924-6437.  The show is free and opened to the public. Refreshments will be served during the event.  Additional images and information can be seen on the Gallery's FaceBook page.  The show has been extended until Saturday, July 13th.
