Mardi Gras, Baton Rouge Style
Mardi Gras in Baton Rouge is an annual celebration attended by thousands each year to join in and experience the excitement and fun filled family activities that are hosted by Baton Rouge, LA. Baton Rouge, the Capital city, shows off parades that are as fun as the krewe in New Orleans and has become a favorite city amongst families to celebrate Mardi Gras.
With the exception of the wild and wacky Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade, a family friendly Baton Rouge Mardi Gras kicks off with huge floats, fancy balls, excitement and entertainment for everyone. The annual Baton Rouge Louisiana Mardi Gras parade starts with beautifully colored and decorated floats, marching bands and dancing for all to enjoy! Families are welcome to come early, bring their lawn chairs and get front row seating to a fun-filled Baton Rouge Mardi Gras parade.
Each Krewe respectively holds their own annual Mardi Gras parade and special events. The Mardi Gras Annual Balls are held each year with live music, entertainment, costumes and more. Get creative this year and dress in costume or creative formal!!
Mardi Gras kicks off February 16th, 2010. Check back often for updated information on Louisiana Mardi Gras events, festivals, parades and more!!
