Whether you are driving or flying to Baton Rouge, we hope to provide you with all the information that you need to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The Baton Rouge River Center, the 2012 USBC Championships tournament site, is nestled next to the mighty Mississippi River and located in downtown Baton Rouge.
We realize that many bowlers will choose to either rent or bring their own vehicles to our city. With that in mind, we have consolidated some key information about directions to downtown Baton Rouge, parking, and other means of transportation in our city.
Directions to Baton Rouge River Center
Downtown Baton Rouge can be accessed from any direction you are traveling. The physical address of the Baton Rouge River Center is 275 S. River Road Baton Rouge, LA 70802. The Baton Rouge River Center and Parking Garages are accessible by exiting I-110 on Government Street and heading west toward the Mississippi River then turn right onto St. Louis Street. See below for parking instructions. Entrance is located on both St. Louis Street and River Road.
From the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, located north of downtown, the travel time to the River Center is about a fifteen-minute drive.
Tournament Parking at the Baton Rouge River Center
Team Baton Rouge is proud to offer two large capacity parking structures adjacent to the Baton Rouge River Center. These two garages, named the River Center West and East Garages, will be the primary parking areas when you compete in the tournament. The west garage is next to the River Center. The east garage is located across the street from the Baton Rouge River Center and is connected by a sky bridge. Click here for the Downtown Parking Map.
As part of the tournament, you will be allowed to park in these garages for only $ 5.00 per car per day. To take advantage of the Special USBC Rate, show your USBC membership card and retain the event parking stub for same day re-entry. If you lose the event parking stub, you will pay an additional $5.00 upon entry or departure.
Most vehicles will be able to be accommodated in both garages. Clearance in both the West and East garages is six (6) foot eight (8) inches. Refer to the Downtown Parking Map if you have an oversize vehicle for daytime parking only.
Tournament Pick-up and Drop-off
If you need to just drop-off or pick-up, you can do so by accessing the designated area off of St. Louis Street close to the Main Entrance. Access is limited and drivers must stay with their vehicles at all times.

Taxi Services Available in Baton Rouge
Team Baton Rouge and the local taxi companies are currently working together to offer you special flat rates during the tournament. These rates will be valid for service originating or terminating at the Baton Rouge River Center. If you wish to see other areas of Baton Rouge, one can travel around town with our affordable meter rates. More information is coming soon.
Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge Free Parking and Shuttle:
- Park for free at Hollywood Casino
- Shuttle runs every hour from 10 a.m. to midnight daily. First shuttle leaves Hollywood Casino 15 minutes prior to the hour beginning at 9:45 a.m. to and from the bowlers entrance(s) at the River Center.
- Parties of 5 or more people may get transportation to and from Hollywood Casino.
